There are so many lessons you can learn from a tree. Their wisdom about living your truth is there if only you just listen to it.
Trees. They teach us so much about ourselves when we connect to them and seek to understand the wisdom they offer.
Trees give us messages from their ancient wisdom. Take the cross-section of a tree and it will give you different sage advice about different aspects of you. The lessons you can learn from a tree here are profound.
Let’s take a look. It goes beyond the roots grow deep and the leaves grow up!
The lessons you can learn from a tree about their HEARTWOOD
The Heartwood of a tree is the central core hardwood around which the annual concentric rings grow. These annual rings symbolize the layers of memories formed over the years of our lives. They are there to remind us of the wisdom we have cultivated through our journey as well as the spiritual wisdom that resides within us.
Deep at the center of the heartwoord there is stillness. The kind of stillness that reminds us of the wisdom that dwells deep within us. To listen to the lessons that reside within, we must become still. Here is where we connect to the purpose of who we are.
Because Heartwood no longer conducts water, its’ main function is that of support. The wisdom of the Heartwood of a tree fully supports us because it is the truth of our soul.
The Lessons you can learn from a tree about it’s SAPWOOD.
Sapwood is the softer part of the wood that lies between the inner bark and the heartwood. It is the younger layers that are alive and rich with nutrients. This is where our purpose and passion and joy lies in us. Connecting to it renews our faith and trust to continue forward in the pursuit of our purpose. It is our sacred happy place of creativity and inspiration.
The Lessons you can learn from a tree about it’s BARK.
Bark is the protective layer of a tree. It is actually separate from the wood of a tree. As such, it offers safe haven to the wood from heat, cold, insect and other dangers.
We all have bark around us. Metaphysically, it comes in the form of our core values and beliefs. When we connect to them and live by them, we stand safe and strong to any environment around us. When we go within, the bark helps us to (re)connect to our purpose. By knowing our values and beliefs and staying true to them, our purpose is able to shine.
The Lessons you can learn from a tree about it’s DEADWOOD!
The deadwood of a tree no longer serves it’s purpose. It may still be hanging onto it but is no longer providing nutrition to it. The deadwood can no longer support it to grow and flourish.
Think of the deadwood of a tree as your limiting beliefs. Those thoughts, feelings, and ideas that we have about yourself that no longer serves you. They stem back to times when you needed the belief for protection but, now, the older, wiser you knows it’s time to let them go so that you too, like the tree, can grow and flourish.
The Lessons you can learn from a tree are all about YOU.

Trees symbolize so very much about our own personal growth and development journey. They show us that there are times to focus on releasing limiting beliefs, times to focus on protecting our purpose, times to focus on inspiring ourselves, and times to focus on listening deeply to our truths.
This is not always easy. Profound Personal growth & development requires support. The support that can only be offered with the mentoring of an unbiased observer. Now more thane ever, it’s time to get that support to grow in clarity, the strength of conviction, and purpose for greater direction, passion and joy in your life.
